Freya holds a degree in Interior Design and has worked as a designer for three years, with a focus on bedroom environments and intimate spaces from early in her career.
That specialisation grew out of the environmental psychology research on how sensory experience, lighting, and spatial comfort shape how people feel and how little of it makes its way into practical advice.
Her writing is grounded in both design practice and the research on mood, arousal, and comfort.
